About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing and Heating Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and heating systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites.
This role requires a practical approach, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. The ideal applicant will possess a strong understanding of plumbing and heating systems, along with relevant technical skills to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Out of hours works (past 5pm) or weekend work is time and ahalf

Responsibilities

  • Boiler services
  • Call outs
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing and heating systems in various settings
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out tasks effectively
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify faults or potential issues within systems
  • Perform pipework fabrication and assembly as required for projects
  • Carry out heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently
  • Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot complex system problems
  • Read technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints accurately
  • Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
  • Assist with minor carpentry tasks related to system installation or repair where necessary

Experience
  • Proven experience in plumbing, heating systems, or related mechanical trades
  • Familiarity with welding techniques and the use of hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
  • Knowledge of commercial driving is advantageous for transporting materials between sites
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely on a regular basis
  • Practical understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations in system installations
  • Experience working with both residential and commercial plumbing/heating systems is preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently
  • Previous experience in working within regulated environments ensuring compliance with safety standards
